Our 2 year old son Arlo was diagnosed with an ATRT malignant brain tumour. Mr Conor Malluci and his team managed to extract 100 percent of the tumour and have given Arlo the best chance at survival and we are eternally grateful. A few days after his surgery I expressed that I felt Arlo wasn’t himself and seemed to be deteriorating so Beth sent him for a scan. It turned out he needed a shunt fitting to drain his brain fluid as a result of the swelling from the surgery. Within the same night conor malluci came from home to fit the shunt. Outstanding! Arlos lumber puncture result recently came back as negative for cancer cells and he has now started chemotherapy to fight the disease. Thank you for taking care of our baby with such compassion and skill. You will always have a place in our hearts.

My twin daughters at 8 days old (jan 2008) were admitted to hospital with a strain of meningitis. After test we were told they BOTH had Citrobacter meningitis. (Abscesses on the brain). Both had brain surgery and where in hospital for months. The care they were given on Neuro Surgery at Alderhey was outstanding. The expertise and kindness off all the staff and Mr Mallucci was amazing. The twins are now 11. They are typical girls ready for high school. Thank you as without all your efforts we wouldn’t have them to today.

I cannot find the words to explain just how fantastic mr mallucci is. He operated on my son when he was 3 months old. He filled us with confidence and reassurance at a terrible and scary time in our lives. This man hasmade a massive positive impact on our lives and I will never forget him for that.

I really cannot praise this man enough. Mr Mallucci saved my daughters life 2 years ago when she was diagnosed with a brain tumour. He has operated on her numerous times since and I trust him implicitly. He was instrumental in making sure she got the proton therapy she needed in Florida and I am always confident in whatever treatment plan he decides. I feel so fortunate that he is our neuro consultant. He quite often sits in on oncology appointments and really takes a personal interest in each patients wellbeing. His surgical skill is matched by his manner and attitude towards patients and their families. Amazing man, brilliant surgeon.
